Our group has been given the theme of opera, and rather than scanning in the mind map i will summarize it in a few sentences. We took the theme of opera in many different and somewhat unusual directions, initially we went down the route of opera houses and the decor inside involving rich gold and deep red tones, beautiful architecture and expensive upholstery. Veering on from that we then went on to explore many different avenues such as specific operas, costume, famous opera cities i.e Italy and Sydney, masks, Latin, Specific stories, the list was truly endless. After mind mapping together and discussions we came up with a colour palette, of red, black, gold, white.
These will be interesting themes and colours to work with and to link with a dress for the party season.
